FRIENDS OF MEXICAN ART (FOMA)

The Friends of Mexican Art — FOMA — was founded in 1963 to strengthen cultural ties with Mexicoand to increase knowledge and understanding of Mexican art. FOMA supports the acquisition of Mexican art through gifts and grants to Valley cultural centers, including Phoenix Art Museum, Heard Museum, Scottsdale Center for the Arts, Phoenix Public Library, Arizona State University Art Museum and Mesa Arts Center.

Currently, FOMA recognizes the influence that Mexican
art and culture is having on the emerging art community and regularly sponsors lectures, programs, exhibitions and tours to explore the rich artistic heritage.
